Access

Admission to the Master’s Degree in Public and Health Economics (LM-56) is subject to the following requirements:

Curricular Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following classes (as per Italian Ministerial Decree 270/2004):

  • L-33 (Economics),
  • L-18 (Business Administration),
  • L-41 (Statistics),
  • L-16 (Public Administration and Organization),
  • L-36 (Political Science and International Relations).

Applicants with a degree from other classes must have:

  • 18 ECTS in SECS-P/01 (Economics) and/or SECS-P/02 (Economic Policy),
  • 9 ECTS in SECS-S/01 (Statistics) and/or SECS-S/04 (Demography),
  • any missing credits must be earned through individual courses before enrollment.

Language Requirements

English language proficiency (minimum B2 level) 

Required to attend classes, which are entirely taught in English.

The requirement can be verified through:

  • Internationally recognized language certificates (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, Cambridge),
  • University exams taken at a university language center,
  • Degree course taught entirely in English (to be certified),
  • An interview or placement test if documentation is not available.

Assessment Procedures

Evaluation of curricular requirements and personal preparation is conducted by a committee appointed by the Department of Economics.

The evaluation may include:

  • Review of the applicant’s academic transcript,
  • Individual interviews (also online),
  • Specific tests in the required disciplinary areas.
